Twenty-first Century Man, oil on linen, 16 by 12 inches unframed, 20 by 16 inches framed.
Several years ago I saw a man using a magnifying glass to read his text messages. The paradox of the situation stayed, and eventually I asked my friend Harvey to pose for the scene. Harvey is computer-literate, so having him as the focus adds to the contradiction. Someone who is clever enough to use a magnifying glass to read their text messages, but not tech-savvy enough to know that you can adjust the size of the text on the screen.
Offered as an original oil, nicely framed. Prints available on request.
