Morning Light, oil on linen, 20 by 16 in. unframed, 24 1/2 by 20 1/2 in. framed.

When the Goths built their cathedrals, they borrowed from Platonic thought. The Greek philosopher felt that muted lighting, use of color, and enhanced vertical space all contributed to a sense of awe--the feeling that heaven and earth were somehow connected in this place. One wonders what effect, if any, the ancient place has on three siblings heading for school.

Offered as an original oil, nicely framed.  Prints available on request.
